With Pickware WMS, serial numbers or any other additional data can easily be captured during picking orders and during store sales via the POS. To do this, you simply need to specify in the master data of a product which additional information should be requested during picking. Afterwards, you're prompted directly on the mobile device to enter, for example, the serial number by scanning or via the keyboard, which is then saved directly in the corresponding order in the backend.
To set up this prompt, open the product details of the relevant product and scroll down in the Master data (Stammdaten) tab to the Settings section. Next to the field Beim Auslagern erforderliche Informationen (Information required when picking), click the pencil icon on the right and then click Informationstyp hinzufügen (Add information type). Enter the desired name, e.g. "Serial number", and click Save. You can now use the dropdown menu to select the desired information type(s) that should be requested during picking or store sales.
