If your stock in Pickware is incorrect, it is usually caused by one of a few things. Here you will find the most common cases, how to recognize them, and what you can do.
Stock is stuck in a picking box or a goods receipt
If a picking process is canceled in the WMS App and Later (Später einlagern) is selected, the goods that have already been picked remain in a picking box. They still count toward the stock, but they are not in any bin location and can be neither picked, nor removed, nor moved. In this case, you will typically see the message Der Bestand reicht nicht aus when removing stock.
Complete the stocking process in the WMS App under Goods receipt, as described in How can I restock canceled picking processes?
The situation is similar for goods receipts that have been released but not yet stocked. Their stock counts toward the total stock, but it is not yet available in the warehouse. Stock the goods receipt completely before you remove the goods or pick them. This also applies to product sets if a component is still stuck in the goods receipt.
The order is set to Shipped, but the stock was not removed
Changing the order or delivery status in Shopware does not remove any stock; it only controls the reservation. Stock is removed via Ship order on the order, in the WMS App via Picked → Mark as shipped, or via bulk edit. A shipping label does not remove stock either. Stock is reserved without there being an order
If the message queue and the scheduled tasks of your shop are not being processed, Pickware does not recalculate stock, reservations, and product set stock. They are then no longer correct, for example after an update.
Quick fix: Under Settings → System → Caches & indexes, restart the index PickwareErp.StockIndexer, or update all indexes. In the long term, a worker run by the server instead of the admin worker helps. Also check whether any processes are stuck, and keep your plugins up to date. The stock is only incorrect in the shop
If the stock is correct in the Shopware Admin and only incorrect in the storefront of your shop, Pickware is not the cause. In this case, clear the cache of your shop.
An import has changed the stock
If you import products with an import profile that also contains the stock field, the import writes old values as the target stock. Pickware then adjusts the stock down to this amount. Therefore, do not map the stock field in such profiles.
Stock is suddenly in Unknown
Stock ends up in the bin location Unknown when a product without a default bin location is stocked, for example manually, via CSV, through a return, or after reactivating stock management. If stock is changed directly in the database instead of via stock movements, Pickware recalculates the stock from the movements and also books the remainder to Unknown. You can transfer this stock to a real bin location via CSV.
