Yes. If you select the option Document number under Reference in the DATEV configuration, the invoice number appears in Document field 1 for payments in the DATEV payment export. Refunds receive the number of the invoice correction or cancellation invoice there. This way, DATEV can match the payments to the open items of your invoices and settle them automatically.
The number only appears in Document field 1 if the document can be clearly identified during export. For a payment, the order needs exactly one non-cancelled invoice; for a refund, exactly one correction document and exactly one refund. Otherwise the field stays empty, for example if a paid order doesn't have an invoice yet at the time of export. You match such payments manually in DATEV.
Switch the reference to document number
You change the reference in the configuration of the DATEV extension:
Open the configuration of the DATEV extension.
In the Posting record section, select the option Document number under Reference.
Save the configuration.
From the next export on, the document number appears in Document field 1. With the option Order number, the order number appears there instead. You can find all options of the configuration under How do I configure the DATEV extension?, and the rules for Document field 1 in detail under Further information on the DATEV payment export.
