With product labels, you can capture your products directly with your barcode scanner in a wide variety of processes. With Pickware, you can conveniently generate these via your Shopware Admin. To do this, go to the product overview and select the desired products using the checkbox. Then click on Create labels.
In the following window, you can first set the barcode content: Choose using the selection options whether the product number or the GTIN / EAN should be encoded as a barcode. The product number is preselected by default. If no EAN is stored for a product and you select GTIN / EAN, the product number is used as a fallback. If several EANs are stored separated by commas, the first EAN is used.
Next, you can choose between three layouts and set the size and print margin. The Pickware Admin offers you these three layout templates:
Barcode and product number
Barcode, product number and product name
Barcode, product number, |
Then click on Create labels. You will now receive the generated labels sorted by product number as a PDF file for download. The PDF file is optimized for label printers. You can find more on this here.
Alternatively, product labels can also be created with various common tools. For this, you need, for example, the product number/EAN number of an item. You can get the list of product numbers via CSV export.
Product labels for variant products
Product labels for variants can be created in the same way, provided you have enabled the display of variants. You can find out how to enable or disable the display of variant products here. If you have disabled the display of variants in the product overview, proceed as follows:
If you want to generate product labels for variants, you must first click on the variants icon in the product overview:
In the next step, you can select the desired variants and create the labels using the button above.
How can I use Avery Zweckform labels with Pickware?
Currently, Pickware ERP only supports printing one label per page. This means that the widely used Avery Zweckform format (multiple labels on one sheet) cannot currently be selected directly via the label template. However, the format can still be used via the print settings of your PDF viewer or printer driver.
Workaround: printing multiple labels on one page
Create your labels as usual via Pickware (e.g. from goods receipt or the product details).
Open the generated PDF file. This usually contains several pages with one label each.
Open the print menu of your PDF viewer (e.g. Adobe Acrobat).
There, under Page Sizing & Handling, select the option Multiple.
Then specify how many labels should be printed per page (e.g. 4 × 8 or 3 × 10, depending on the Avery Zweckform sheet used).
Before the actual print run, do a test print on plain paper to check the alignment.
You can find a detailed guide directly from Adobe: Print multiple pages per sheet (Adobe Acrobat)
If your print program does not offer a multi-page function, you can use free online tools to merge multiple PDF pages onto one page and then print as usual on Avery Zweckform sheets.
