For a line item from a goods receipt to be included in the calculation of the valued stock, a purchase price must be set. For goods receipts from supplier orders, the purchase price is usually already stored on the line items. For free goods receipts, you have to add it manually.
If you increase your stock via free goods receipts, for example because you place your supplier orders externally, you must set a purchase price manually for the relevant line items. To do so, open the relevant goods receipt under Warehousing → Goods receipts and double-click the Unit price (net) column, enter the price there, and save your entry using the checkmark on the right.
You can find an overview of all stock valuations you have created in your Shopware Admin under Warehousing → Stock valuation. To create a new stock valuation, proceed as follows:
Click Create stock valuation report in the top right.
Select the reporting day, reporting method and warehouse, and optionally enter a comment. Then click Create preview.
You now see a preview of your stock valuation and can either export it as a CSV file or save it at this point. You can also perform the export at a later time by opening the corresponding entry in the stock valuation overview.
Please note that only one stock valuation can be created for a given time range. However, you can delete stock valuations you have already created via the overview if needed. If the time range of the stock valuation also includes the current day, only a preview can be created. The stock valuation can only be saved for completed days.
When you open the report you created, you can view the valuation basis for each product in the Stock column via the truck icon. The valuation basis consists of all goods receipts and supplier orders in which the product was included at the respective price.
Determine stock on a reporting day
If you need your stock and its value on a specific reporting day, for example for your tax advisor, use the stock valuation. Create it with this reporting day and save it. It then contains the stock as of that reporting day.
Which valuation methods are supported?
The valuation can be done using LIFO, FIFO, or the weighted average of the period. When you create a new stock valuation, the reporting method you used last time is selected.
What all reporting methods have in common is that at the end of a report period, the existing stock including its valuation is carried over to the next report period and booked there as a goods receipt. Since all goods receipts require a purchase price, Pickware ERP uses the average valuations of the previous period for this.
