To make a manual deposit or withdrawal, open the menu and select Deposit and Withdrawal. Using the tabs at the top, you can first choose between deposit and withdrawal. Further down, you can enter the amount and select a comment. By default, the comments Cash deposit and Cash withdrawal are available. If you select the Free text option, you can type in an individual comment. You can define which comments are preset in the Plugin Configuration. Below, you'll find the option to print a receipt, but you can also disable this. Afterwards, all relevant information can also be viewed in the cash report via the backend and is shown separately from the cash register sales.
Recording the Opening Cash Balance
When setting up a cash register for the first time, you need to record the opening cash balance before the first sale. To do this, make a deposit equal to the amount of change money and enter, for example, the comment Opening cash balance or Initial cash balance, so that the deposit can be traced afterwards.
Note: If the cash register is not fully emptied every day but only skimmed down to the opening cash balance, the opening cash balance only needs to be recorded once, since the closing cash balance from the previous day is always automatically carried over as the new opening cash balance.
Skimming the Cash Register
If you want to skim money out of your cash register, you need to make a corresponding withdrawal. Here too, enter a clear comment for the cash report to make it easier to trace later.
